“ Booked the lunch set here since it came so highly recommended for their chicken, and I’m so glad we were able to dine here. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, and the staff were so lovely as well. ”
“ An amazing menu of yokitori style chicken. You can ask for an English menu of the various courses served if needed. Waiter did explain in Japanese everything thing about the dishes and the chickens and their life prior to the skewers ”

“ Had dinner at Ginza Kashiwa during our annual Japan visit, in Dec 2023. Twelve months ago we visited for the first time and had an outstanding experience. My review posted Dec 2022 is below and the ratings given remain valid. This year the experience was at least equally good; the wines actually seemed better. We had the same wonderful seats as last year. The staff were a pleasure to converse with. DEC 2022 review: We 2 treated ourselves to the 選べるペアリングコース, which was 6 wines paired with about 13 small courses finished by coffee/tea. Outstanding experience. SERVICE: 5.0. We were lucky to snag an early evening reservation with 2 hours notice. Service was excellent throughout the dinner. AMBIANCE: 5.0. Located on the 11th floor overlooking a large boulevard in Ginza. It was already quite crowded when we arrived for out 6pm reservation, and we were shown to the 2 best seats for a couple to share a romantic evening. These 2 seats are located at the most inner part of the restaurant, at a wide counter facing the chef's cooking area. The location is quite private, as it is screened from the both the chef and the rest of the restaurant. Directly behind the seats are floor-to-ceiling windows with a nice city view. FOOD: 5.0. The small courses were served one after another, paired with a wine that went with 2 to 3 of the courses. Beautiful presentation and wonderful paired tastings. Too much to list; photos of the menu (in Japanese) and courses are posted. WINE: 4.0. The pours were generous, and each wine was paired very well with appropriate courses. The sommelier did most of our pours, explaining the wines and pairings. ”
“ Ginza Kashiwa in the Kinza district is a true gem! The cuisine is authentically Japanese and highly appreciated by locals. The friendly staff took the time to thoroughly explain how the meal is structured, making it a very pleasant and helpful experience. Important to note: you can only place orders until 1:30 PM, as the kitchen closes afterward. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the warm service made the experience even better. A wonderful spot that we highly recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo! ”
